Cynthia Hood
Principal Engineer III
Dr. Hood joined Roberson and Associates in June, 2012. She is also currently an Associate Professor of Computer Science and Engineering at Illinois Institute of Technology. She has over 29 years’ experience. Her research interests include network and system management, sensor networks, wireless networks, social networks, adaptive systems, sociotechnical systems and computing in public policy. Dr. Hood received the National Science Foundation (NSF) CAREER award in 2000 and has more than 70 publications.
Prior to her current positions, Dr. Hood worked at Bellcore and Singer Kearfott.
Dr. Hood earned a Bachelor of Science in Computer and Systems Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, a Master of Engineering-Electrical Engineering from Stevens Institute of Technology, and a Ph.D. in Computer and Systems Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
