Meet the Team

Paul joined Roberson and Associates in 2023 and has over 40 years of industry experience in telecommunications and computer systems.

Before joining Roberson and Associates, Paul retired from Motorola Solutions after 31 years where he was Senior Vice President of Technology, responsible for technology policy, intellectual property strategy, standards, and strategic technical projects. Prior to this, Paul was Motorola Solution’s Chief Technology Officer for nine years where he led the company’s technology strategy and venture capital investments. In his earlier career, Paul was chief architect for carrier broadband wireless network infrastructure products in the company’s network infrastructure unit. Prior to Motorola, he was a distinguished member of the technical staff at AT&T Bell Laboratories where he worked on operating system research and development.

Paul has 17 issued US Patents and was recognized by Fast Company as one of 2020’s most creative people in business. He was also recognized by Motorola as a Science Advisory Board Associate, a Dan Noble Fellow and with a Lifetime Innovation Award. Paul was a member of the executive board of the Telecommunications Industry Association and the executive committee of the National Spectrum Consortium. Paul also served on the Federal Communications Commission’s Technological Advisory Council (TAC) and its Communications Security, Reliability, and Interoperability Council (CSRIC).
