Principal Engineer III
Mr. Chen joined Roberson and Associates in 2013 and has 46 years of experience in the industry. He is a subject matter expert in the analysis, design, and development of large telecommunications management systems. His expertise has been utilized in analyzing systems that perform dynamic spectrum allocation in a shared spectrum environment. More recently, his work has involved testing coexistence of existing devices operating in the 2.4 GHz Industrial, Scientific, and Medical Band (ISM) band with devices operating in the same or adjacent bands.
Prior to joining Roberson and Associates, Mr. Chen held senior management and technical positions at Illinois Tool Works (ITW), Motorola, Alcatel-Lucent, and AT&T Bell Laboratories. He led teams in analyzing, designing, and developing systems to manage national and global networks, as well as solving large business process flow problems using big data approaches.
Mr. Chen published over 40 refereed articles in academic journals and conferences in telecommunications modeling, network flow theory, network architecture, and software quality.
Mr. Chen earned a Certificate in Engineering Management from Stanford University, a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics degree from the University of Pennsylvania, and a Master of Science in Computer Science degree from the University of California, Berkeley.
