Phil Rasky

Phil Rasky has delivered innovations and directed teams with responsibilities ranging from research and advanced development to platform architecture and integration. He joins Roberson and Associates after a successive career at Nokia.

At Nokia, Phil led teams in both the Mobile Networks (MN) Business and Bell Labs. As a system architect and team lead, he and his teams delivered innovations in advanced 5G MIMO receivers, cooperative multipoint (CoMP) techniques and antenna systems for 4G/5G, mmWave 'smart' repeaters and pre-standard 5G mmWave proof of concept (PoC). Most recently, Phil was a key contributor to a study in MN toward the feasibility of integrated sensing and communications (ISAC).

Prior to Nokia, Phil Rasky held a number of director positions at Motorola Mobility. There he led teams delivering advanced product concepts in wearable devices and connectivity use cases and was responsible for enabling technology and roadmaps for audio, imaging sensors and local connectivity.   He also held positions responsible for aspects of platform hardware architecture, chipset integration as well as advances in radio technology, much of which found its way into Motorola mobile phones.   Prior to that, Phil led a research team in Motorola Labs toward fundamental physical layer technologies and early trials for the progression from 2G to 3G to 4G cellular.

Phil Rasky is Bell Labs Fellow of Nokia and Dan Nobel Fellow of Motorola. He is inventor of over 40 patents. He holds master's and bachelor's degrees in electrical engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
